Description

Indulge in comforting Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells, filled with creamy ricotta and fresh spinach, topped with marinara sauce and bubbly cheese.


Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Italian seasoning to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until they’re al dente. Drain them and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix your chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Make sure everything combines well!
  4. Fill each pasta shell with the cheese mixture. Don’t be shy; pack it in!
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the stuffed shells in the dish and cover them with the remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve with a green salad or garlic bread, and garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
