Ingredients

  • 8 spring roll wrappers
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the shrimp, shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a large bowl.
  2. Lay a spring roll wrapper flat on a clean surface.
  3. Place a small amount of the filling in the center, leaving space to fold the sides.
  4. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly from the bottom up.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  6. Gently place the rolled spring rolls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Don’t overstuff the wrappers, seal properly with water, and maintain the oil temperature for optimal frying.
