Description
A quick and flavorful dish featuring bok choy, garlic, and ginger that can be prepared in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound bok choy, chopped
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or sesame oil for extra flavor)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the bok choy thoroughly to remove any dirt. Drain and chop it into bite-sized pieces—about 1-2 inches works great.
- Heat your skillet over medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, add the vegetable (or sesame) oil. Swirl it around to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan. Sauté for about 30 seconds, or until they’re fragrant but not browned.
- Toss in the chopped bok choy. Stir-fry for around 2-3 minutes. You want it to turn bright green and tender but still crisp.
- Drizzle the soy sauce and rice vinegar over the bok choy. Stir everything together and cook for another minute.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. If you want more depth, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top while serving!
- Serve warm and enjoy the vibrant flavors.
Notes
For best results, do not overcook the bok choy to maintain its crunch. Fresh ingredients yield the best flavor.
