  • 1 pound bok choy, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or sesame oil for extra flavor)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the bok choy thoroughly to remove any dirt. Drain and chop it into bite-sized pieces—about 1-2 inches works great.
  2. Heat your skillet over medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, add the vegetable (or sesame) oil. Swirl it around to coat the bottom of the pan.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan. Sauté for about 30 seconds, or until they’re fragrant but not browned.
  4. Toss in the chopped bok choy. Stir-fry for around 2-3 minutes. You want it to turn bright green and tender but still crisp.
  5. Drizzle the soy sauce and rice vinegar over the bok choy. Stir everything together and cook for another minute.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. If you want more depth, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top while serving!
  7. Serve warm and enjoy the vibrant flavors.

Notes

For best results, do not overcook the bok choy to maintain its crunch. Fresh ingredients yield the best flavor.
