Description
A delicious and easy dish combining tender shrimp, flavorful pesto, and perfectly cooked pasta for a cozy family meal.
Ingredients
- Shrimp
- Spiral pasta (fusilli, rotini, penne, or any other type of pasta)
- Red pepper flakes
- Olive oil
- Basil pesto
- Chicken broth
- Fresh basil
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Once it’s al dente, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. The oil should shimmer slightly when it’s ready.
- Add the shrimp and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Cook the shrimp until they turn pink and are cooked through—this should take about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the basil pesto and chicken broth. Mix everything well so the shrimp are nicely coated.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything to combine, ensuring the pasta is well-coated with the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving, adding a pop of color and freshness.
Notes
Choose quality, deveined shrimp for best results. Adjust red pepper flakes to taste for desired heat level.
