Pesto Shrimp Pasta

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings
  • Diet: Seafood

Description

A delicious and easy dish combining tender shrimp, flavorful pesto, and perfectly cooked pasta for a cozy family meal.

Ingredients

  • Shrimp
  • Spiral pasta (fusilli, rotini, penne, or any other type of pasta)
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Olive oil
  • Basil pesto
  • Chicken broth
  • Fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Once it’s al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. The oil should shimmer slightly when it’s ready.
  3. Add the shrimp and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Cook the shrimp until they turn pink and are cooked through—this should take about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the basil pesto and chicken broth. Mix everything well so the shrimp are nicely coated.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything to combine, ensuring the pasta is well-coated with the sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil before serving, adding a pop of color and freshness.

Notes

Choose quality, deveined shrimp for best results. Adjust red pepper flakes to taste for desired heat level.
