- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Marinara sauce (optional)
- Ranch dressing (optional)
- Garlic aioli (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- If you wish, cut the mozzarella sticks in half to create longer pieces.
- Dredge each mozzarella stick in flour, shaking off the excess.
- Dip the floured mozzarella stick into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Roll the egg-coated mozzarella stick in the breadcrumbs, pressing to adhere.
- Repeat this process for all cheese sticks.
- Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until they are golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or garlic aioli for dipping.
Notes
For an extra crispy texture, double-dip the mozzarella sticks in egg and breadcrumbs. Maintain oil temperature to ensure even cooking.
