Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a mixing bowl.
- Heat the milk and butter together until warm, then mix into the dry ingredients.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and cut it into doughnut shapes using a cutter.
- Allow the doughnuts to rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Fry the doughnuts until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Transfer them to paper towels to drain and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
