  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a mixing bowl.
  2. Heat the milk and butter together until warm, then mix into the dry ingredients.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut it into doughnut shapes using a cutter.
  7. Allow the doughnuts to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Heat oil in a fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Fry the doughnuts until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.
  10. Transfer them to paper towels to drain and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
