Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the potatoes into even matchstick fries, about a quarter-inch thickness.
  2. Soak the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for 25 to 30 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels.
  4. Toss the dried fries with olive oil and seasonings until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  6. Cook the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket for 14 to 18 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  7. Serve immediately, sprinkling extra salt if desired.

Notes
