Ingredients

- 1 lb ground lamb (or beef, turkey, etc.)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg
- Tzatziki Sauce or tomato sauce for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, grated onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
- Cook the meatballs in batches, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
- Serve warm with tzatziki sauce or tomato sauce.
Notes
Don’t overmix the meat mixture, use fresh herbs for better flavor, and test the seasoning by cooking a small piece before shaping the meatballs.
