  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Paleo

Description

Delicious Greek meatballs bursting with flavor, perfect for family gatherings or as a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground lamb (or beef, turkey, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Tzatziki Sauce or tomato sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, grated onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
  4. Cook the meatballs in batches, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Serve warm with tzatziki sauce or tomato sauce.

Notes

Don’t overmix the meat mixture, use fresh herbs for better flavor, and test the seasoning by cooking a small piece before shaping the meatballs.
