A rich and hearty lasagna layered with ground beef, béchamel sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients

- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add the marinara sauce to the cooked beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix the ricotta cheese, eggs, and a pinch of salt in a bowl until well combined.
- Layer 1/3 of the beef sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place 3 noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the ricotta mixture, followed by 1/3 of the mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Repeat the layers, ending with noodles and remaining beef sauce on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let the lasagna sit for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For extra flavor, add fresh basil in the layers.
