Description

Nutritious and delicious chocolate energy balls made with dates, oats, and nuts.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 150 g Dates
  • 30 g Oats
  • 3 tablespoons Cocoa powder (about 25 g)
  • 60 g Walnuts (or any other nut variety)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon (add more to taste)
  • Optional: a splash of water or plant-based milk

Instructions

  1. To start, pour hot water over the dates and let them soak for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. In a food processor, combine the soaked dates, oats, cocoa powder, walnuts, vanilla extract, coconut oil, and cinnamon.
  3. Blend everything together until you get a dough-like consistency.
  4. Once you achieve the right texture, roll the dough into about 10-12 balls.
  5. You can enjoy these immediately or place them in the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm up.

Notes

These Date Cocoa Balls can be refrigerated for up to a week or frozen for up to three months.
