Nutritious and delicious chocolate energy balls made with dates, oats, and nuts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 150 g Dates
- 30 g Oats
- 3 tablespoons Cocoa powder (about 25 g)
- 60 g Walnuts (or any other nut variety)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon Coconut oil
- ½ teaspoon Cinnamon (add more to taste)
- Optional: a splash of water or plant-based milk
Instructions
- To start, pour hot water over the dates and let them soak for about 10-15 minutes.
- In a food processor, combine the soaked dates, oats, cocoa powder, walnuts, vanilla extract, coconut oil, and cinnamon.
- Blend everything together until you get a dough-like consistency.
- Once you achieve the right texture, roll the dough into about 10-12 balls.
- You can enjoy these immediately or place them in the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm up.
Notes
These Date Cocoa Balls can be refrigerated for up to a week or frozen for up to three months.
