- 2 slices of bread
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
- Butter or olive oil for grilling

Instructions
- Mash the avocado in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to season it just the way you like.
- Spread butter or olive oil on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread the mashed avocado evenly, then top it with the shredded cheese.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, making sure the buttered side is facing up.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and carefully place the sandwich in the skillet.
- Grill the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and crispy, then flip the sandwich to grill the other side until the cheese is melted and gooey.
