Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1 pack puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Sauté the aromatics: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Brown the beef: Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it into pieces, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Add flavor: Stir in tomato paste, cumin, paprika, and chili powder. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. Prepare your pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry. Use a round cutter to cut circles, about 4-5 inches in diameter.
  6. Fill and seal: Place a tablespoon of mixture in the center of each circle. Fold over, press edges, and seal with a fork.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake: Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
