Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Salmon Fillet, center-cut (680g)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil (15ml)
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt (3g)
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper, freshly cracked (1g)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (113g)
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice (45ml)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped (8g), plus more for garnish
  • 1 Lemon, thinly sliced for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly oil a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 60 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat and whisk in the lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley.
  3. Pat the salmon fillet completely dry with paper towels. Place in the prepared baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Season generously with salt and black pepper.
  4. Pour about three-quarters of the garlic butter sauce over the salmon, coating it evenly. Lay the thinly sliced lemon on top.
  5. Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes until it turns opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle with the remaining garlic butter sauce. Garnish with extra parsley and serve immediately.
