Soft and chewy Wonderland Chocolate Chip Cookies packed with melty chocolate chips, a hint of vanilla, and a touch of magic the ultimate comfort cookie for any occasion.
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles or crushed peppermint (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla until combined.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until just incorporated.
6. Fold in chocolate chips and any optional add-ins.
7. Scoop dough (about 2 tbsp each) onto prepared sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden but centers are soft.
9. Cool on pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill dough for 30 minutes before baking.
Swap semisweet chips with milk or dark chocolate for flavor variety.
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
