Description

A delicious plant-based burger bursting with flavor, featuring grilled onions, melty vegan cheese, and a signature creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 Plant-Based Burger Patties (2 oz each)
  • 2 Slices Vegan American Cheese
  • 1 Tomato Slice
  • Iceberg Lettuce
  • Dill Pickle Slices
  • 1 Burger Bun
  • Mustard
  • 3 lbs. Yellow or Brown Onions (diced)
  • 2 Tbsp Vegan Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Neutral Oil (Vegetable, Canola, etc.)
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • 1 cup Vegan Mayo
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp Dill or Sweet Relish
  • 1 Tbsp Vegan Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat the two tablespoons of neutral oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onions to the skillet, and sprinkle a pinch of salt and sugar over them.
  3. Cook the onions for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown.
  4. Melt the vegan butter in another pan over medium heat.
  5. Place the plant-based burger patties in the pan and cook them according to the package instructions.
  6. Cover the patties with a slice of vegan cheese and cover the pan until the cheese melts.
  7. Spread mustard on the bottom half of the burger bun and layer with lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions.
  8. Add the cheesy burger patty and dill pickle slices, then slather on the special sauce before closing with the top bun.

Notes

For best flavor, ensure onions are nicely caramelized and allow the special sauce to sit for a while before using.
