Ingredients
4 slices sourdough bread
1/2 cup fresh ricotta
1–2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
Pinch of salt
Cracked black pepper
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Toast sourdough bread slices until golden and crispy.
3. Spread ricotta evenly on each slice.
4. Layer tomato slices on top of ricotta.
5. Drizzle olive oil, season with salt and pepper.
6. Add fresh basil leaves for garnish.
7. Serve immediately for best texture.
Notes
Pat tomatoes dry to avoid soggy toast.
Add optional balsamic glaze for extra flavor.
Store leftover toasted bread separately; add toppings fresh.
