Ingredients
6 large croissants, torn into chunks
6 large eggs
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
Instructions
1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
2. Tear croissants into bite-sized pieces and arrange them evenly in the dish.
3. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon, shredded cheeses, and green onions.
4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants, pressing gently to ensure everything is coated.
6. Cover tightly with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate overnight (or at least 6 hours).
7. The next morning, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
8. Remove the casserole from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes.
9. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until golden and set in the center.
10. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
