Description

Delicious steak pinwheels filled with creamy cheese, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes, perfect for family gatherings or weekend dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pieces beef steaks (flank, skirt, flat iron, or top round)
  • Olive oil (for brushing on the exterior)
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together the cream cheese, shredded cheese, minced garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and spinach in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Lay the beef steaks flat on a clean cutting board and pound them to about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly among the steaks, leaving a half-inch border on the sides.
  5. Roll the steaks tightly, tucking in the sides to secure them.
  6. Brush the outside of each pinwheel with olive oil and place them seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness (145°F for medium).
  8. Let them rest for a few minutes, then slice into bite-sized pieces. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Tip: Don’t skip the pounding step for more tender steaks and easier rolling.
