Slow Cooker Lasagna

  • Total Time: 255 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings
  • Diet: Meat-Based

Description

A hearty, comforting lasagna made easily in a slow cooker, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce
  • Ground beef (or sausage)
  • Italian seasoning
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat: Start by heating a pan over medium heat. Add your ground beef or sausage, along with the chopped onions and minced garlic. Cook until browned and onions are translucent. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Assemble in the slow cooker: Start with a layer of marinara sauce, then break lasagna noodles and layer over the sauce. Add dollops of ricotta cheese, sprinkle with mozzarella, and top with the meat mixture. Repeat layering until using all ingredients, finishing with a layer of mozzarella.
  3. Season it up: Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the final layer.
  4. Cook: Cover and set slow cooker to low for about 240-360 minutes until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.
  5. Serve: Once done, let it cool for a few minutes, then dig in and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use no-boil lasagna noodles and ensure there is enough sauce between layers.
