Description
Hearty Potato Sausage Chowder with creamy potatoes, savory sausage, and warm spices perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken or turkey sausage, sliced
4 medium potatoes, diced
1 onion, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1 cup cream
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: cayenne or paprika for spice
Instructions
1. Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat.
2. Sauté onions, garlic, and celery in butter until soft.
3. Add sausage back to pot, pour in broth, and bring to a simmer.
4. Add potatoes and cook 20 minutes until tender.
5. Stir in cream and seasonings, simmer 5 more minutes.
6. Let rest 5–10 minutes, garnish, and serve.
Notes
Store in fridge up to 4 days.
Freeze portions in broth up to 3 months.
