Ingredients
1.5 lbs salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1.5-inch cubes
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried dill
1 tablespoon fresh lemon zest
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Fresh dill for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Remove salmon from refrigerator 15 minutes before cooking.
2. Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3-5 minutes.
3. Pat salmon cubes completely dry with paper towels.
4. In large bowl, toss salmon with olive oil until evenly coated.
5. Mix garlic powder, paprika, dill, lemon zest, salt, and pepper in small bowl.
6. Season salmon pieces with spice mixture, ensuring all surfaces are covered.
7. Line air fryer basket with perforated parchment or spray lightly with oil.
8. Arrange salmon pieces in single layer, not touching each other.
9. Cook for 8-10 minutes, gently shaking basket halfway through.
10. Check internal temperature reaches 145°F with instant-read thermometer.
11. Let rest for 2-3 minutes in basket after cooking.
12. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and garnish with fresh dill before serving.
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for best results.
Start checking doneness at 8 minutes to prevent overcooking.
Salmon pieces should be uniform in size for even cooking.
Can substitute other firm fish like arctic char or steelhead trout.
