Description
A delicious and creamy stuffed chicken inspired by Ruth’s Chris Steak House. This dish combines tender chicken breasts with a cheesy spinach filling, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, then remove from heat and let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, spinach, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well mixed.
- Take each chicken breast and cut a pocket into the side of it. Stuff each pocket with the cheese mixture.
- If you want a crispy exterior, coat the outside of each chicken breast with breadcrumbs.
- Place the stuffed chicken into a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Once it’s done, let the chicken rest for a few minutes to retain its juices before serving.
Notes
For additional flavor, consider adding herbs or spices to the cheese mixture. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked to 165°F (74°C).
