Description
Pecan Praline Buttermilk Loaf Cake is a moist, buttery loaf topped with crunchy caramelized pecans and a rich praline glaze.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
3 large eggs
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup butter
¼ cup heavy cream
1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare loaf pan.
2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
4. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Add alternately with buttermilk.
5. Stir in vanilla and pour batter into pan.
6. Bake 55–65 minutes until golden.
7. Prepare praline topping: melt butter, brown sugar, and cream; stir in pecans.
8. Pour topping over cooled loaf before serving.
Notes
For a spiced version, add cinnamon and nutmeg.
Freeze slices without praline topping for longer storage.
Serve warm with ice cream or coffee.
