Crispy tostadas topped with juicy carne asada, fresh toppings, and bold flavor. A classic Mexican dish that’s easy to love and simple to make!
Ingredients
1 lb flank or skirt steak
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
2 garlic cloves, minced
Salt & pepper to taste
8 corn tostadas
Optional toppings: avocado, beans, cilantro, lime
Instructions
1. Combine marinade ingredients and marinate steak for 15 minutes to 4 hours.
2. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
3. Grill steak 3–5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
4. Let steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
5. Warm tostadas briefly or serve room temp.
6. Top tostadas with beans or avocado, then sliced steak.
7. Add toppings like cilantro, lime, or cheese and serve.
Notes
Use boneless chicken thighs as an alternative protein.
Store leftover meat for up to 3 days in the fridge.
