Description

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.


Ingredients

  • 400g spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 100ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden brown, about 2 minutes.
  4. Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
  5. Toss the drained spaghetti in the skillet with garlic oil, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.
  6. Season with salt and top with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

For a milder version, reduce the amount of red pepper flakes.
