Description

Deliciously thick and chewy cookies loaded with chocolate chips, perfect for any gathering or a sweet treat at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
  7. Scoop large portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
