Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until it begins to foam slightly.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 60 to 90 seconds, stirring constantly, until it becomes fragrant and just starts to turn golden.
  3. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring, then add the lemon zest. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese, allowing each addition to melt completely before adding more.
  6. Add the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the freshly chopped parsley just before serving.
  8. Serve immediately over pasta, chicken, seafood, or vegetables.

Notes
