- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup Romano cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Pasta, fresh salad, or roasted vegetables for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Dip each chicken breast into the lemon mixture to coat. Then, coat each breast with grated Romano cheese.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear each chicken breast for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Serve with pasta, fresh salad, or roasted vegetables.
Notes
Allow marinating for at least 15 minutes for better flavor. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked to 165°F.
