Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Steamed rice for serving
- Steamed vegetables for serving
Instructions
- Mix soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or dish, pour the marinade over the chicken, and seal or cover. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side or bake in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Serve the chicken with steamed rice and vegetables.
Notes
Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes; longer is better. Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.
