Description
A warm, comforting Korean Beef Bowl featuring savory beef, sweet brown sugar, and sesame oil.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 2 cups cooked rice
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Choose a large skillet and heat it over medium heat. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook it until it browns nicely, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat.
- Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger into the skillet with the beef. Stir together until well mixed.
- Allow this mixture to cook for an additional 5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Serve the beef mixture over warm cooked rice, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Serve with steamed broccoli or a cucumber salad; kimchi adds a great touch. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
