Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cauliflower Florets (Fresh or pre-chopped)
  • 2 cups Broccoli Florets (Lightly steamed)
  • 1 pound Sliced Smoked Sausage (Your favorite variety)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (For sautéing)
  • 1 medium Onion (Diced)
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic (Sauté briefly)
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese (Softened)
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (Main flavor component)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until they become translucent.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Add the sliced smoked sausage to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until it starts to brown slightly.
  5. In a separate bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and heavy whipping cream until smooth.
  6. Gently fold the steamed broccoli and cauliflower florets into the sausage mixture.
  7. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the veggie-sausage combo, stirring until everything is well combined. Sprinkle in half of the shredded cheddar cheese and mix well.
  8. Transfer everything into a greased baking dish, and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Once it’s ready, take it out, let it cool for a few minutes, then serve hot!

Notes

Don’t overcook the veggies and consider using a variety of cheeses for added flavor.
