Description
A hearty Southern-style breakfast pizza featuring flaky biscuit crust, creamy sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and melted cheese the ultimate comfort brunch dish!
Ingredients
1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
1/2 lb breakfast sausage
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups milk
Salt and black pepper, to taste
4 large eggs, lightly scrambled
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a pizza pan.
2. Separate biscuit dough and flatten each piece. Press biscuits together in the pan to form a pizza crust.
3. Bake crust for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden.
4. Meanwhile, cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Remove sausage and leave about 2 tbsp drippings.
5. Add butter to skillet, then whisk in flour to form a roux. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened to a gravy consistency. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Return sausage to the gravy and stir well.
7. Spread sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit crust.
8. Top with scrambled eggs and shredded cheddar cheese.
9. Return pizza to oven and bake 8–10 more minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
10. Slice, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve warm!
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle cooked bacon or green onions on top.
Use peppered gravy for a spicy kick.
Reheat leftovers in a toaster oven or air fryer for best texture.
