Creamy whipped ricotta topped with spicy-sweet hot honey, crushed red pepper, and fresh herbs an easy, elegant dip perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
2 tbsp olive oil, divided
1 tbsp hot honey (or regular honey + pinch of chili flakes)
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 clove garlic, grated
Salt and black pepper to taste
Zest of 1/2 lemon (optional)
Fresh thyme or basil, for garnish
Crusty bread or crackers, for serving
Instructions
1. In a small skillet, warm 1 tablespoon olive oil with garlic and red pepper flakes over low heat for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
2. In a food processor, blend ricotta, remaining olive oil, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until smooth and fluffy, about 1 minute.
3. Transfer whipped ricotta to a shallow serving bowl.
4. Drizzle with hot honey and the warm chili-garlic oil.
5. Garnish with herbs and extra chili flakes if desired.
6. Serve immediately with toasted bread or crackers.
Notes
For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne or drizzle more hot honey.
Use whipped feta or goat cheese for a tangier twist.
Best served warm or at room temperature for the creamiest texture.
