Honey BBQ Chicken Wings

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: None

Description

Crispy, sticky chicken wings slathered in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, perfect for family gatherings and game nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Kg Chicken Wings
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 3/4 Cup BBQ Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp Honey

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the wings into drumettes and wingettes. If you want, you can discard the tips. Place the pieces in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Next, add the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper to the wings. Mix everything thoroughly to make sure each wing is coated evenly.
  3. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). While that’s heating, line a baking tray with aluminum foil and parchment paper—this helps with easy cleanup!
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the baking tray and pop them in the oven for 25 minutes. Midway, flip the wings and let them bake for another 20 minutes, or until they turn crispy and golden brown.
  5. While the wings are baking, mix the BBQ sauce and honey in a bowl. If your BBQ sauce comes straight from the fridge, consider heating it with the honey in a saucepan until it’s warm.
  6. Once the wings achieve that crispy perfection, toss them in the honey BBQ sauce until they’re fully coated. Serve these delightful wings immediately, and get ready for compliments!

Notes

Store any uneaten wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
