Soft, chewy Homemade Soft Pretzels with a golden crust perfect for snacks, parties, or game days.
Ingredients
4 cups bread flour
1 packet instant yeast
1 ½ cups warm water
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
½ cup baking soda (for boiling)
Coarse salt for topping
Instructions
1. Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit until foamy.
2. Add flour and salt; knead until smooth.
3. Let dough rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
4. Divide and shape into pretzels.
5. Boil in baking soda water for 20 seconds.
6. Place on baking sheet and bake at 425°F for 12–14 min.
7. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For cinnamon sugar pretzels, brush with melted butter and coat in cinnamon sugar after baking.
