Ingredients

  • Fresh broccoli florets
  • Canned chickpeas
  • Fresh garlic cloves
  • Soy sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds
  • White rice

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
  2. Drain the canned chickpeas and set them aside.
  3. Mince the fresh garlic cloves finely.
  4. Heat about two tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the hot oil and stir-fry for roughly 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  7. Add the drained chickpeas and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Pour soy sauce and sesame oil over the mixture and toss to coat.
  9. Serve hot over cooked white rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
