Description
Crispy, creamy, and fruity, these Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are the ultimate quick dessert.
Ingredients
8 slices white or brioche bread
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup diced fresh strawberries
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
1 cup panko breadcrumbs or crushed graham crackers
Canola oil for frying
Optional: cinnamon-sugar, powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
1. Flatten bread slices with a rolling pin.
2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and strawberries.
3. Spread mixture onto 4 slices of bread and top with remaining slices.
4. In a shallow bowl, beat eggs with milk.
5. Dip sandwiches into egg wash, then coat with breadcrumbs or graham cracker crumbs.
6. Heat oil to 350°F in a skillet.
7. Fry sandwiches for 1–2 minutes per side or until golden.
8. Drain on paper towels or a wire rack.
9. Dust with powdered sugar or cinnamon-sugar if desired.
Notes
You can freeze assembled sandwiches before frying. Air fry for a healthier version.
