A rich and easy decadent chocolate croissant breakfast bake perfect for family brunch or a cozy weekend treat.
Ingredients
6 large croissants, torn into bite-sized pieces
4 large eggs
2 cups whole milk or milk alternative
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Butter (for greasing)
Instructions

2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease baking dish with butter.
3. Tear croissants and layer half in dish.
4. Sprinkle chocolate chunks evenly.
5. Top with remaining croissants.
6. Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until combined.
7. Pour custard over croissants and let soak for 20 minutes.
8. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and set.
9. Rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Use day-old croissants for better custard absorption. Substitute whole milk with almond or oat milk for dairy-free. Add berries or nuts for extra flavor.
