Description
Juicy meatballs slow-cooked in a sticky-sweet honey garlic sauce easy to make, crowd-pleasing, and perfect for weeknight dinners or parties.
Ingredients
2 lbs frozen or pre-cooked meatballs
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
1. Add frozen meatballs to the slow cooker.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
3. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat evenly.
4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours, stirring halfway through.
5. If you want a thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch slurry during the last 20 minutes.
6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Serve over rice or noodles for a full meal.
You can use homemade meatballs if you prefer — just brown them before adding to the crockpot.
Keep on the “warm” setting for up to 2 hours when serving at parties.
