Description

Creamy Queso Rice with Juicy Steak Strips is a bold, cheesy, and satisfying dish featuring perfectly seared steak and rich queso rice.


Ingredients

Scale

1 lb flank steak

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp smoked paprika

2 cloves garlic, minced

Juice of 1 lime

Salt & pepper to taste

1 cup long-grain rice

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

4 oz cream cheese

1/2 cup milk

1/2 onion, chopped

1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

1. Trim steak and pat dry.

2. Mix marinade and coat steak. Let sit 15 minutes.

3. Cook rice according to package.

4. Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side. Rest.

5. In same pan, sauté onions and garlic.

6. Add cooked rice, cream cheese, cheddar, and milk.

7. Slice steak and serve over creamy queso rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, let steak marinate overnight.

Substitute chicken or tofu for a different protein.

Use pepper jack for a spicier queso.
