Ingredients
10 oz elbow macaroni
2 chicken thighs or breasts
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp chili flakes
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheddar
Salt to taste
Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
1. Cook pasta until al dente and reserve 1/4 cup water.
2. Marinate chicken with honey, pepper, mustard, garlic for 15–20 minutes.
3. Sear chicken in pan until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
4. Remove chicken and let rest. In same pan, melt butter and stir in flour.
5. Whisk in milk and cook until thick. Stir in cheese and pasta water.
6. Fold in pasta and toss until coated. Slice chicken and place on top.
7. Drizzle with extra honey glaze and serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh grated cheese for better melting.
Store leftovers in airtight containers.
Reheat with milk to loosen sauce.
