Description
This Creamy Garlic Spinach White Pizza is loaded with gooey mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan on a garlicky cream sauce base, topped with fresh spinach for a comforting and flavorful twist.
Ingredients
1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
3/4 cup milk or half-and-half
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
1/2 cup ricotta cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Optional: extra olive oil and basil for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add minced garlic; cook 1 minute.
3. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 more minute, then slowly add milk, whisking until thickened.
4. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
5. Remove from heat and stir in chopped spinach until wilted.
6. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface and brush edges lightly with olive oil.
7. Spread the creamy garlic spinach sauce evenly over the crust.
8. Add dollops of ricotta, sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
10. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle fresh basil before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add caramelized onions or roasted chicken on top.
Substitute spinach with kale or arugula if preferred.
Use whole wheat or cauliflower crust for a lighter version.
