Description
A rich and creamy bowl of fettuccine Bolognese, perfect for family gatherings or quick weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 300g fettuccine pasta
- 500g ground beef or mixed meat
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
- 200ml heavy cream
- 100g grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine: Start by cooking the fettuccine according to the package instructions. Once it’s nice and al dente, drain it and set it aside.
- Sauté onions and garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until they soften and start to smell amazing.
- Brown the meat: Next, add the ground meat to the skillet. Cook until it’s well browned. Don’t skip this step; it adds lots of flavor!
- Stir in tomatoes: Toss in the diced tomatoes along with salt and pepper. Let everything simmer for about 10 minutes to merge those wonderful flavors.
- Add cream and cheese: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until everything is combined and creamy.
- Combine with pasta: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and gently toss to coat the pasta with the sauce.
- Serve and garnish: Serve the dish hot, garnished with fresh basil for a pop of color and flavor.
