Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • Butter or olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by peeling and slicing the ripe avocado. Mash it in a bowl for an extra creamy texture, adding salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat for even cooking.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of bread, or use olive oil for a healthier option.
  4. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  5. Spread the mashed avocado generously on the unbuttered side of the bread.
  6. Layer the cheese on top of the avocado.
  7. Cover with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  8. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook until cheese melts and everything is toasty.
  9. Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half, and serve warm.
