Ingredients

Scale

1 pound ground turkey breast (93/7 lean ratio)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon dried sage

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

12 slider buns (brioche or potato rolls)

1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce

6 slices sharp cheddar cheese

2 cups fresh arugula

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

1. Remove turkey from refrigeration 15-20 minutes before cooking to reach room temperature.

2. In a large bowl, gently combine turkey with garlic powder, onion powder, sage, thyme, pepper, and salt.

3. Divide mixture into 12 equal portions and form into patties slightly larger than slider buns.

4. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.

5. Cook turkey patties 4-5 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

6. Add cheese slices during last minute of cooking to melt.

7. Mix mayonnaise with Dijon mustard for spread.

8. Slice slider buns and lightly toast if desired.

9. Spread mustard-mayo mixture on bottom buns.

10. Place cooked turkey patties on bottom buns.

11. Top with cranberry sauce and fresh arugula.

12. Add top buns and serve immediately.

Notes

Turkey patties can be cooked up to 2 days ahead and refrigerated. Reheat gently before serving.

Don’t overmix the turkey mixture to avoid tough, dense patties.

Use a meat thermometer to ensure turkey reaches safe internal temperature of 165°F.

Substitute ground chicken or lean beef if turkey is unavailable.

For spicier version, add chopped chipotle peppers to turkey mixture.
