Description
Juicy pan-seared chicken coated in a sweet-tart cranberry orange glaze the perfect blend of citrus and holiday flavor for a festive dinner centerpiece.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)
2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp orange zest
2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish
Instructions
1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add cranberries, orange juice, honey, balsamic vinegar, orange zest, and garlic.
5. Simmer 5–7 minutes, stirring often, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens slightly.
6. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the glaze.
7. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes until glossy and heated through.
8. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary and serve warm.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
For extra flavor, marinate chicken in orange juice and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking.
Leftover glaze can be used as a sauce for pork or turkey.
