Description

Rich, creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter Valentine’s Hearts a homemade version of everyone’s favorite chocolate-peanut butter combo, shaped into adorable hearts and dipped in silky chocolate for a sweet and easy romantic treat.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Pinch of salt

10 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips (or melting wafers)

1 tbsp coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Festive sprinkles or flaky sea salt for garnish

Instructions

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a mixing bowl, beat together peanut butter, butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth and creamy.

3. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until a thick, moldable dough forms.

4. Roll dough out between two sheets of parchment paper to about 1/2 inch thickness.

5. Use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out hearts, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.

6. Freeze hearts for 20–30 minutes, or until firm.

7. Meanwhile, melt chocolate and coconut oil together in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

8. Using a fork, dip each chilled peanut butter heart into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.

9. Place coated hearts back on parchment and immediately top with sprinkles or sea salt if desired.

10. Chill for 10–15 minutes to set completely.

11. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

Notes

For a milk chocolate version, use a mix of milk and dark chocolate for coating.

You can make these up to a week ahead — keep them chilled until serving.

Add a drizzle of white chocolate for a beautiful Valentine’s touch!
