Description
Rich, fudgy chocolate cookies with gooey marshmallow swirls soft, decadent, and absolutely irresistible. Perfect for holiday cookie trays or cozy nights in!
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1 cup mini marshmallows (or marshmallow fluff)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In another bowl, cream butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
4. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until combined.
6. Fold in chocolate chips.
7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared sheets.
8. Press a few mini marshmallows into the top of each cookie, or swirl in marshmallow fluff using a toothpick.
9. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are set but centers are soft.
10. Cool on pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For an extra swirl, freeze small dollops of marshmallow fluff and bake them inside the cookies.
Add a drizzle of melted chocolate for a bakery-style finish.
Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
