Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the rolled oats, cocoa powder, nuts, and salt in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Combine honey (or maple syrup) and coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until melted and smooth, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients, stirring to combine thoroughly.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and fragrant.
  7. Remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely.
  8. Stir in the chocolate chips once cooled.
