Ingredients

- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup nuts (e.g., almonds, pecans)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the rolled oats, cocoa powder, nuts, and salt in a large bowl until well combined.
- Combine honey (or maple syrup) and coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until melted and smooth, then add the vanilla extract.
- Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients, stirring to combine thoroughly.
- Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and fragrant.
- Remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely.
- Stir in the chocolate chips once cooled.
- Store in an airtight container.
