Description
Soft and chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies with bursts of sweet maraschino cherries. Perfect for every occasion.
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup maraschino cherries, chopped and patted dry
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
4. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients.
6. Fold in chocolate chips and cherries.
7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets.
8. Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are golden.
9. Cool on sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Tip: Pat cherries completely dry to prevent excess moisture in cookies.
